Never to old to learn a thing or two!
This will be short and hopefully sweet. I just watched a short clip at ITLP about a man whom chose to go to school at the age 89 (i think) when the Kenyan government proclaimed anyone could go to school for free up until grade 8. I say to all of you "old timers" its never to late to learn a thing or two. Also, your never to old to learn how to dance, act, draw or read.
The experienced man in the video says " Let them who want to make fun of me do it. I will continue to learn."- Kimani Nganga Maruge
I say he's brilliant, an one of the most intelligent persons alive today!

The ITLP film can be seen at www.itlp.org , click on the film "No Limitation to Education". It was made by a 16 year old Tanzanian student, Calvin Michael, who lives in a rural poor village in northeast TZ. Calvin was asked to be the assistant filmmaker for the ITLP 2009 expreinece in Tanzania and he asked if he could make his own film. We loved his confidence and curiosity. Calvin chose to make the film about the Kenyan grandfather who chose to go to school at 89 years old and learn how to read rather than die illiterate. As LeBaron said--it's inspiring! Thanks to Le Baron for letting people know about it.
